LRVCA Board Updates

• The annual meeting will be in-person held on Tuesday, March 31st at 7pm. The meeting will take place at Lincolnia United Methodist Church (6335 Little River Turnpike, Alexandria, VA). Those who cannot attend in-person may contact Terri for the Zoom link.

• There have been multiple reports of individuals checking car doors in our community and surrounding neighborhoods. It is recommended to keep your vehicle doors locked. Please stay vigilant and report any suspicious behavior to Fairfax County Police.

• Have you ordered your FREE recycling cart yet? As a reminder, the new trash contract provides one recycling cart per unit to those who request it. Call American Disposal to request the cart and it will be delivered to your door free of charge.

• The Board has renewed the contract with Blade Runners for a three-year term. After seeking multiple bids for landscaping/snow removal, Blade Runners came in with the most competitive offer and lowest price.

American Disposal Services Recycle & Trash Pickup

• TRASH PICKUP SCHEDULE: Tuesdays beginning at 6AM, Trash & Recycling. Please secure all items in case of wind.

• Special Pickup must be arranged with American Disposal in advance for an extra charge. DO NOT DUMP items on the curb. Items eligible for special pickup include: Furniture and other large non-metallic household items, ferrous metals/white goods such as stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, hot water tanks, and more than ten bundles of tree limbs or branches.

• Yard waste will only be picked up in biodegradable paper bags or personal trash can marked "Yard Waste."

• Please, DO NOT put trash out until the evening before pick up. Trash and recycling should be disposed of in the containers.

Please remember to include your lot number or address on all checks or BANK-ISSUED money orders, which are $225/quarter. Do NOT send a check to our post office box or give cash or check to our president or treasurer.

If you are currently experiencing financial difficulty, please notify Terri Jenkins at BCM, and we can develop a plan to help you with the dues.

Architecture Changes

Any external changes to your house or property (such as a new door or fence) need to be approved IN ADVANCE by the Board. Failure to obtain such approval may result in a requirement to remove the changes. Simple replacement/repair jobs with no cosmetic change to the look of your home DO NOT require an architecture review
